Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole believes that Congress CM Adhir Chowdhury should apologise President Murmu for his ‘sexist’ remarks which the Congress CM claims it to be a mistake (slip of tongue)

“I’ve not heard it but such a statement is wrong. President is first citizen of the country & should be respected. If he (AR Chowdhury) said anything like that, he should apologize as the dignity of President’s post shouldn’t be hurt,” says Maharashtra Congress chief.

Congress CM firstly denied on apologising to BJP but later on clarified that he would personally apologise to President Murmu.

“I can’t even think of insulting the President. It was just a mistake. If the President felt bad, I will personally meet her & apologize. They can hang me if they want. I am ready to get punished but why is she (Sonia Gandhi) being dragged in this”, says Congress leader AR Chowdhury Thursday.
