Joe Biden tests positive for COVID-19
The White House announced on Thursday that Joe Biden, has tested positive for COVID-19. He is exhibiting mild symptoms and will continue working, albeit in isolation.
White House physician Kevin O’Connor wrote in a note made public on Thursday that 79-year-old Biden had a runny nose, tiredness, and an infrequent dry cough, symptoms that he started experiencing late on Wednesday. According to O’Connor, Biden has started taking the antiviral medication Paxlovid.
“Folks, I’m doing great. Thanks for your concern. Just called Senator Casey, Congressman Cartwright, and Mayor Cognetti (and my Scranton cousins!) to send my regrets for missing our event today. Keeping busy!” Biden wrote on Twitter.
