IND vs WI: Why is KL Rahul replaced by Sanju Samson in the T20 Series?
KL Rahul will be replaced by Sanju Samson in India’s T20I team for their current tour of the West Indies as the BCCI announced on Friday (July 29). KL Rahul, who recently acquired COVID-19, was instructed to rest by the medical staff, according to a board release.
Rahul was selected for the five-match series on the condition that he would be match-fit. The opener missed the entire England tour as well as the domestic T20I matches against South Africa, for which he was designated as a captain initially, due to a groin injury that necessitated surgery. Rahul has not participated in T20Is or international cricket since the New Zealand series in the latter part of last year.
