IND vs WI 1st T20: India’s Playing XI
The ODI series was whitewashed successfully without any senior leaders, who have now come back to conquer the reign in the shortest format of the league. With Rohit Sharma taking up his duty once again and all the players set to continue what Dhawan-led young team created a ‘milestone’, it will be exciting to watch how does the T20 opening game goes on.
The visitors’ schedule has been hectic; in the past month alone, they have played 12 matches in three different nations. In the T20 format, they defeated England 2-1 and Ireland 2-0 during that time. The roster for this series has seen a few changes, and the guys who have made it in will be hoping to make an impression. Sanju Samson is also included in the squad, as of today’s announcement, replacing KL Rahul, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week and has been told to take it easy by the medical staff.
“Ready to go. Good to have some time off. Pretty excited to get back and get things underway. First international game being played here, good to see the fans coming in large numbers. Facility looks good. Will have to look at how the wicket plays. Few guys have left, few have come back. Quite excited to get underway.,” said skipper Rohit Sharma during the toss
