Fully-managed voice service for businesses, launched by- Vodafone Idea’s enterprise arm
On Thursday, Vodafone Idea’s (Vi) company arm, Vi Business, launched its new offering–Managed Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) service for enterprises for whom voice calls are key resource for business
To date, most Indian BPOs/KPOs, the BFSI and IT/ITeS, telemarketers, VAS providers, and other similar sectors have been relying on legacy TDM-based PRI connections from multiple vendors and they are not clear about the efficacy of such service.

“With Vi’s Managed SIP (MSIP), these organizations will now have the assurance of security as well as a window to monitor, measure and optimize their voice infrastructure. These services also help user clients get a complete view of their fixed telephony network, with best-in-class SLAs, voice analytics, quality scores, and features to improve service efficiency,” On Tuesday the telco mentioned in a statement.
Globally, fixed telephony has transformed from legacy TDM to SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), while needs for flexible networks that adapt to new age IP networks, unified communications, and the extended work-from-home scenario have increased the growth of SIP Trunk services in recent months.
“With the introduction of Vi Managed SIP service, Vi Business is now in position to be a single point facilitator of comprehensive fixed telephony solutions that enable businesses to gain better control of their overall voice infrastructure and the ability to garner meaningful insights on voice performance for their clients/ internal stakeholders,” mentioned by Abhijit Kishore, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, VI limited.
Additionally, the Vi Managed SIP service will allow customers to keep a tab on their expenditures, courtesy of a single trunk; unlimited voice channels/sessions on a single trunk; a digital experience portal to access real-time reports and to review the network, and also proactive monitoring of problems, and an auto ticketing for threshold breach of KPIs.
