Xiaomi launches MIUI 9 stable updates for Mi, Redmi devices in India

Xiaomi Redmi has been the most selling mobile handset this year and the company is now launching MIUI 9 (available for most Redmi and Mi series) thus introducing new features and updating the performance enhancements.
In the launch event, the company Xiaomi compared MIUI 9 with Samsung’s TouchWiz on J7 Max. The MIUI 9 could remarkably open 34 apps simultaneously as compared to 16 apps by TouchWiz. The time lag between switching apps was compared and the company claimed that Redmi Note 4 running under MIUI 9 was 45% faster than Samsung’s J7 running under TouchWiz.
The MIUI updates the notification shade and allows users to have multiple styles and interact with notifications within the shade. Icon added has been added to the new MIUI 9 features.
Also, it will allow the user to edit background distractions within the images. It even has a shortcut page on the left of the home page. Mi Video App now supports grouping of popular videos automatically.
IRCTC text messages will be received in card format. The Mi calendar now includes Indian festivals and the company has launched stickers particularly for Indians along with the new Limitless theme.
