Samsung Galaxy A42 5G smartphone launched: Here’s everything you need to know

In a bid to further strengthen its A-Series line-up, Samsung has officially launched an affordable Galaxy A42 5G smartphone, as the South Korean tech giant plans to bring 5G connectivity throughout the portfolio.

Priced at GBP 349 (about ₹33,000), the phone will be available in the United Kingdom in November. It will also be launched in other parts of Europe later next month, according to media reports.

Featuring a multi-role Quad Camera and an immersive Infinity-U Display, the smartphone offers 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, coupled with MicroSD support up to 1TB. It is reportedly the company’s most affordable 5G phone till date.

With a long-lasting and fast-charging 5,000mAh battery, the phone is packed with all the important features consumers are expecting.

“The Galaxy A42 5G delivers premium features and innovation, powered ready for super-fast 5G network connectivity,” James Kitto, Vice President of Sales, Samsung UK, and Ireland, said.

Able to deliver hyper-fast streaming and 5G-powered downloading, it sports 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display.

The device is available in three colours:

• Prism Dot Black

• Prism Dot White

• Prism Dot Grey

The 48MP main camera, along with 8MP ultra-wide camera can help users take extremely good images.
