Nokia launches new UBT-T XP dual-band radio; to be made available from Q3 2022
Nokia has launched its new dual band radio, the Nokia UBT-T XP, to support low frequency spectrum bands in 6GHZ to 11 GHZ. The Finnish telecom gear maker is positioning the radio for outdoor deployments, to be available from Q3 2022. The radio band supports multi frequency carrier aggregation (CA) with different channel sizes and high modulation schemes that can carry 2.5Gbps over the air.
As a part of this solution, Nokia offers 4+0, 6+0, and 8+0 configuration. The UBT-T XP is also integrated into the Nokia Networks Services Platform for common management for full end to end management of the network. Giuseppe Tangia, Vice President, Microwave Radio Links at Nokia said, “This solution will enhance our industry- leading Wavence portfolio offering customers an alternative 5G backhaul solution with scalable coverage and capacity”.
