Intel struggling to create a place for the recently launched 8th core processor in the market

With the intention to level up the demand of notebooks, 2-in1s and desktops, Intel has great hopes regarding the success of its 8th generation core processor, in the Indian market.  The upgraded version of the processor, though announced few days back, was put into display this very week in India.
According to the company’s reports, the 8th generation processor is high in demand for about 40% as compared to the 7th generation. The two categories in which this 8th generation is sub-divides comprise of the Kaby Lake Refresh processors and Coffee Lake-S desktop chipsets.
Kaby Lake Refresh, which is specially designed for notebooks, computers and 2-in1s offers a continuous run time of almost 10 hours to watch 4k videos, without getting discharged. The pace offered by the processor allows u to work 25-28% faster as compared to the older version, while editing any of the photos. Working with the capacity of 4 CPUs, the new version offers better performance and improved battery life.
Gokul Subramanian, Sr Director, GM Client Systems and Innovation Organisation, Intel, told in an interview, “Computing is getting into a transformational stage right now where everybody is looking for more performance. More and more computing devices are in use for improvised content creation, content consumption and a blissful experience. With the emergence of the trend of 4G videos, people demand to get more of it so that they can even create and edit such things. As far as the gaming side is concerned, of course, there is a demand for games that meet both the CPU and graphics.”
Sharing bits and information about the Coffee lake-S, Santa Clara-based chipset giant claims that the improvised desktop chips feature six cores in both i5 and i7 SKUs, for the very first time. As per Intel, the desktop users can perform innumerable parallel tasks. For the game lovers, the processor offers almost 25% more frames per second so as to have a better experience of popular games like Gears of War 4. The best feature is the ability to edit 360 degree videos in the easiest manner possible.
Gartner’s latest data about the declining status of the PC market speaks of how difficult it is for Intel to convince the customers about the improved version which is far better and faster than 7th core processor. The influence of the poor condition is also being faced by Apple.  The data shows a fall of 3.6% in the PC shipments costing 67 million units. HP remained at the lead position with a shipment of 14.5 million units, Lenovo took the second spot with 14.3 million, Dell secured third place with 10.1 million units and lastly, Asus with a total of 4.8 million followed by Apple with 4.6 million units shipped.
