Huawei intends to have long-term strategy for India: APAC VP
Chinese telecom gearmaker Huawei understands the current situation in India but it has a long term strategy for the country as it is a big market and has a huge potential. Huawei Asia Pacific Vice President Jay Chen was heard quoting in a virtual roundtable from Barcelona. He added, “Our strategy however remains unchanged under any situation and we have confidence in this market.
It is a market of growth and potential and this fact shall never change”. Answering to queries on what is the plan for 5G business in India; he stated that border clashes in between China and Ladakh have resulted in the delay in this matter. He also added that Huawei is a technology leader and will continue to offer its technology and knowhow to help Indian industries and its ecosystem.
“The Spark program started in Singapore and has spread across Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia. It will travel to many more countries, like Latin America and the Middle East. I hope we have more and more participation from India”, Chen added. “India will receive all the coverage we support, same as all the countries in the region, without any difference”, he
was heard saying.
