The first test of 5G data connection has been successfully tested by Qualcomm. It had achieved a 5G data connection on a 5G modem chipsets for the mobile devices.
Qualcomm on Tuesday previewed its first 5G Smartphone design for the optimization of 5G technology. The company also unveiled Snapdragon 636 mid-tier SoC. The snapdragon X50 modem successfully operated 5G data connection. The modem delivered quite a high speed in gigabits and a data connection in the 28GHz mmWave radio frequency band.
The present aim for the company is to provide its users 5G NR in mobile devices to enhance mobile experiences around the world.
Christiano Amon, Executive Vice President, Qualcomm Technologies and President, QCT said in a press release that “The ability to progress from a product announcement to functional silicon in twelve months speaks to Qualcomm Technologies’ generational cellular technology leadership – now extending to 5G”.
Apart from this Qualcomm has recently unveiled the Snapdragon 636 SoC. which brings support for FHD+,i.e full HD+, 1080×2160 pixels display. The arrival of Snapdragon 636 in the market is expected to trickle down the tall displays and near bezel-less to mid range Smartphones. Assertive display will also be supported by Snapdragon 636, said Christiano Amon.
