“The country’s third education policy incorporates the visions of four great people.” “At the heart of this policy is Maharshi Dayanand’s principle of accessible education, Swami Shraddhanand’s principle of combining vedic education with modern education, Mahatma Gandhi’s education in mother tongue, and Lala Lajpat Rai’s principle of education for all,” Mr Shah said.
Engineering education has started in the mother tongues of ten states, and people taking the JEE, NIIT, and IAS exams have the option of taking the exams in their own mother tongues, he said.
Congratulating the 1,800 students who received degrees at the convocation, he said they should be proud to have studied at a great institution like Gurukula Kangri University and urged them to apply their knowledge in nation building so that India can emerge as the world’s leading country in its 100th year.
