Amazon’s 3rd Gen Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite launched: Price, Features and more
At its annual hardware event, Amazon announced several new products, including Echo Dot, Echo Dot with Clock and Echo Dot Kids Edition, Eero 6 Wi-Fi mesh network routers, a new videogame streaming service called Luna among others.
Also, Amazon Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) and Fire TV Stick Lite have been announced by the US-based multinational technology company.
Amazon Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen)
This device would simplify streaming with power, mute, and volume buttons in a single remote. And with 50% more power than the earlier generation, this stick facilitates quick app starts and fast streaming in Full HD.
Main features are the inclusion of HDR support and Dolby Atmos sound, bringing both technologies to a cheaper price.
So be ready to search across multiple streaming services, including hundreds of channels and apps, to find what you want to watch.
Here’s how to set up and use:
1. Either plug the stick directly into your HDTV or use the included HDMI extender.
2. Plug into a wall outlet.
3. Connect to the internet and enjoy.
The core design of the Rs. 3,999 Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) isn’t changed. With a new 1.7GHz quad-core processor, streaming at up to full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution is supported.
Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite
Priced at Rs. 2,999, the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite looks identical to the Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen), and has similar specifications and features.
This supports:
• Streaming at up to full-HD resolution
• Software-level support for HDR formats
• 8GB internal storage
• Redesigned user interface
If we talk about the key differences between the two devices, the Fire TV Stick Lite does not have the ability to control the TV, and Dolby Audio is only available through HDMI pass-through.
