All you need to know about LeEco's latest smartphones
Chinese smartphone maker LeEco (short for Le Ecosystem), has launched two smartphones in India – Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones in India. The Le 2 is successor to Le 1s, while Le Max 2 will succeed Le Max launched last year. Both smartphones will be available on Flipkart and LeMall.com, which is the company’s own e-commerce portal.
Both smartphones will go on sale via the e-commerce website Flipkart and company’s own e-commerce website LeMall. The company will continue to sell their devices via flash sales. According to the company, the registrations for both Le 2 and Le Max 2 will commence from June 20. The Le Max 2 will be available in the market from June 28, and the Le 2 in early July.
The new offerings announced by the company are bundled with its content membership, which offers up to 2000 movies in 10 different languages, around 3.5 million songs and over 100 live TV channels. The buyers can also avail up to 5TB of cloud storage by paying a monthly subscription fee of Rs 490, or the yearly subscription fee of Rs. 4,900.

Le 2
The Le 2 is the successor to company’s Le 1s smartphone which was launched in October last year. The new version witnessed few upgrades over its predecessor. The upgraded version comes with a new processor and features a better camera module.
The Le 2 sports a 5.5 inch FHD display with 401ppi and 1080*1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB RAM.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s own EUI 5.8 on the top. It also has dual SIM functionalities with both SIM supporting 4G LTE connectivity.
Le2 has a 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash.
The smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage, with no capability to extend external storage. Just like the previous version, the smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh Li-Polymer battery.
Le Max 2
The Le Max2 powered by the speedy Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and also offers a 6GB RAM variant.
The device has 5.7 inch 2K Retina display which according to the company is best display for VR experience. It has a pixel resolution of 1440*2560 and a pixel density of 515 ppi. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The device features a 21MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and offers features such as Auto Flash, Digital image stabilization, Face detection, Touch to focus. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8MP front facing snapper.
The consumer has a choice to pick from 32GB and 64GB storage version. The smartphone has dual SIM functionalities, both supporting Indian 4G LTE bands.
Sensors on the device includes Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope. It is fuelled by a 3100mAh Li-Polymer battery with support for quick charge 3.0.
It will be interesting to see if the new launched can make a strong appeal in the already crowded smartphone market. It is worthwhile to note that company’s previous offering, the LeEco Le1s had created a huge buzz when it was launched and received an overwhelming response from consumers.
