Airtel announces new broadband plans offering “unlimited” high-speed data under Xstream Bundle
Upgrading its Xstream Fiber broadband service, Bharti Airtel has unveiled new plans starting at as low as Rs. 499 a month.
The telecom giant has also announced an Airtel Xstream Bundle under which it will provide the Xstream Android 4K TV Box with all its Xstream Fiber plans, plus complimentary access to a list of OTT apps.
The new changes come after Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio revamped the plans for the Jio Fiber broadband service.
As per the latest revision, Airtel has started offering its Xstream Fiber broadband service through 5 different monthly plans.
Take a look:
• Rs. 499 Plan: up to 40Mbps speed
• Rs. 799 Plan: up to 100Mbps speed
• Rs. 999 Plan: up to 200Mbps speed
• Rs. 1,499 Plan: up to 300Mbps speed
• Rs. 3,999 Plan: up to 1Gbps speed
The unlimited data plans would come as a lifesaver to people working from home (WFH), studying online or streaming content.
However, Airtel has said that there is still a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) capped at 3,333GB after which it will lower speeds to 1,024Kbps.
For customers using a landline phone with their connection, the new Airtel Xstream Fiber broadband plans also include “unlimited voice calling” benefits.
Further, the plans also include Airtel Xstream access that offers more than 10,000 movies, shows, and original series from OTT apps.
Not to forget, Rs. 999, Rs. 1,499, and Rs. 3,999 plans are bundled with Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video and Zee5 services.
Airtel has listed the new broadband plans on its website as well as the Airtel Thanks app. Existing customers of the Xstream Fiber broadband service have been upgraded with the unlimited Internet offering.
However, it is not yet clear how existing broadband customers will switch to the new plans.
