Paytm has come up with brand new tools that will not only help people find vaccine slots but also notify them about the vaccine availability in centers.

Now people can book their COVID-19 vaccination slot on Paytm with it’s new features . The app has come up with a COVID-19 vaccine finder on its mini-app store. The application will not only help people in booking their vaccine slots but will also be notified about vaccine availability in centers around. People can now choose for real-time alerts from Paytm. Presently, users can book slots via the CoWin website and the Aarogya Setu app. People can also book slots using their WhatsApp chatbots.
Talking about new feature addition to Paytm application, a spokesperson said that, “We have introduced a new feature to find COVID Vaccine slots in the nearby locality and set for alerts when new slots open up. We believe that with the combined efforts of Government, organizations, and citizens, we are on the right track to recovery. Our priority is to build collective resistance to the deadly virus as a nation, thus catalyzing the process of herd immunity.”
The idea behind coming up with the new feature is to help and allow people in getting vaccination in a managed way. According to the statement shared by the organization, the tool on Paytm tracks 780 districts in the country, for vaccine slot availability in anyone’s location . Using the new Paytm feature, people can filter vaccine slots effortlessly based on their location . The app provides real-time automated notifications whenever a new slot opens .Paytm takes its data from the CoWIN API where a slot can be booked to book the vaccine.
The third phase of vaccination was been announced by the Indian Government , which made people aged between 18 and 44, applicable for the vaccination. The vaccination drive began on May 1, 2021, to move further ruckus caused due to the pandemic’s second wave.
The second wave seems to be stronger than before and the only way to lessen the number of affected people is by mass vaccination. “The vaccination along with strategic lockdown will help flatten the curve and build the country’s herd immunity at a faster pace.
