Airtel updates plan, adds benefits
In an effort to match its competitors, retain customers, and gain new ones, Airtel is now offering additional hi-speed data under its Rs. 199 plan, at no added cost. As the telecom industry rapidly expands, and each company pitting its services against another, this change has put Airtel on an equal footing with Reliance Jio which offers the similar benefits at this price.
As opposed to the 1 GB data that was earlier provided, this plan will now offer 1.5 GB data per day, in addition to the other features of the plan which will remain unaltered. It also includes the provisions of unlimited calling on all networks, local as well as STD. Along with these, customers can send up to 100 text messages in a day. This plan will remain valid for a period of 28 days in each cycle.
Furthermore, customers will have free access to Hellotunes, Wynk Music, and Airtel Xtreme application subscription. The catch here is, despite all the benefits that Airtel is offering with this plan, it is not yet available for users across the country. As of now, this plan is valid only for customers in the circles of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.
Airtel has also announced the launch of its Customer Advisory Board which will enable customers to be a part of product development. Through this, they will invite some of their most dynamic customers across India to be a part of this board. Clearly, by acknowledging the stiff competition in the telecom industry, Airtel is indeed putting their best foot forward.
