Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday criticized Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s remark that the state would run out of money if Gujaratis and Rajasthanis were expelled and Mumbai would cease to be known as the financial capital of India.
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari praised the ‘Gujaratis’ and ‘Rajasthanis’ in Maharashtra.
In a video of Bhagat Singh’s speech, he mentioned that Gujaratis and Rajasthanis are important for the growth of business and stated that if Maharashtra, and specifically Mumbai and Thane removes them, there would be ‘no money’ left.
As soon as BJP sponsored Chief Minister in Maharashtra, the insult of Marathi people began,” Raut tweeted, while asking CM Shinde to “at least condemn the Governor.”
“This is an insult to Marathi hard-working people,” Raut said while sharing a short video clip of the Governor.
I keep telling people sometimes that if Gujaratis and Rajasthanis are removed from Maharashtra, especially Mumbai and Thane, no money would be left here. Mumbai, which is known as the financial capital of India, would not be able to remain the same,” says Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
