Mavenir Cloud-native telco software provider on Thursday stated it has deployed a 4G/5G campus network in Dallas, Texas, with Open Virtualized Radio Access Network (Open vRAN) Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) capability as part of OnGo Private Network deployments.
To start with the, Mavenir’s CBRS/OnGo product providing addresses macro, enterprise, and industry 4.0 use cases while the private network solution offering– MAVedge that includes radio and core for the CBRS/OnGo connectivity across various apps. These apps include MAVair, for both indoor as well as outdoor applications, zero-touch provisioning, and analytics; and smart poles, CBRS/OnGo Open vRAN, and MAVcore 4G/5G Evolved Packet Core (EPC), that delivered on-premise, hybrid and cloud-hosted CBRS/OnGo as a service.
The company stated it has finished interoperability testing with the third-party solution providers, including multiple Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) to demonstrate an Open vRAN-based private network, according to an official statement.
Also, the campus demonstrates throughput, handover, and full carrier aggregation across both General Authorized Access (GAA) and Priority Access License (PAL) spectrum.
The campus will also cover 5G sub-6GHz and 5G millimeter wave (mmWave) network testing capabilities in the coming months, added in the statement .
“The Mavenir 4G/5G Campus offers a network showcase Open vRAN and demonstrates open interoperability, test, and implementation of end-to-end user applications, including IoT sensor and device connectivity. Putting Mavenir on the map for municipalities, enterprises, and Communication Service Providers (CSP) looking to explore the possibilities available by operating a private network,” Mavenir’s Aniruddho Basu mentioned.
