Xiaomi has been a game-changer ever since the launch of its budget flagship-level smartphones. And in the recent turn of events, keeping up with its brand value and prominence, Xiaomi has come up with yet another killer smartphone with uncanny DSLR-like Camera integration.
The all-new Xiaomi MI 11 Ultra is their new warrior that will take on the war with other premium brands such as Oneplus, Samsung, IQOO, RealMe, Oppo, etc.
It sports all the high-level specifications a smartphone can think of, especially when it comes to the Camera, Xiaomi promises to offer a DSLR-like Camera, which is not something phones should easily claim about. Keeping all this in mind, it is also one of the costliest phones ever to be manufactured by Xiaomi, which will be priced at INR 69,999.

The MI 11 Ultra has a ceramic body which means it will be a heavy phone, not to forget about its camera, the phone has a huge ream camera bump that stands out as its key pointer. The rear camera module also has a small display, which can be used to display notifications, battery details, date, time, etc. Xiaomi promises that it will update this feature in the coming years.
Speaking about the hardware, it comes equipped with the all-new Snapdragon 888 SOC Processor with the Adreno 660 GPU. Sporting a 12 GB Ram with an internal storage of 256 GB, it is indeed a beast of a phone. It also comes with a 120 HZ Refresh rate, providing the buttery-smooth user UIX(User experience). Not only that, but the phone also supports a higher touch-sampling rate of 480 Hz, which means the fastest and smoothest experience in a phone when it comes to gaming. It will be having a 6.81 inches Super-AMOLED display (1440×3220 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
It has a behemoth-sized battery of 5000 mAH and supports 67W fast charging. Though the Indian variant comes with a 55w Fast charging brick, it will juice up the battery from 0 to 100% in less than an hour. With average usage, we can get a day’s battery life and with heavy usage, we can expect it to last over a day.
Speaking about the software, it comes with Android 11 out of the box running the all-new MIUI 12.5. It does have quite a decent amount of ads and bloatware, but the user can disable them according to their own accord.
The rear has a triple-camera set-up with a 50 MP; f/2.0; 24mm (wide angle) lens, 48 MP; f/4.1; 120mm (periscope) lens and 48 MP; f/2.2; 12mm 128 degrees (ultrawide) lens. It will have laser Autofocus and OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). The front camera is a single camera setup sporting a 20 MP; f/2.2; 27mm (wide angle) lens. Users will be able to record videos up to 8k at 240 FPS, not to forget 4k at 30/60 FPS and 1080 FPs at 30/60 FPs.
To optimize the battery life, users can also enable the smart switch option that enables/disables the higher/lower refresh rate according to the phone’s performance demands.
Speaking about the sound output, the phone comes equipped with Stereo Speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. It’s not the best audio a smartphone can have, but it gets the job done.
MI 11 Ultra: Is it Worth The Hype?
Keeping up with its previous claims about elite-class performance and speed of a smartphone, Xiaomi has indeed put the crowd in awe with the release of the MI 11 Ultra. It does tick all the right boxes, be it the performance or the camera department. Both are flawless. As a matter of fact, the camera can hold its own in the market against other premium smartphones, be it the Oneplus 9 Pro or the iPhone 12 Pro.
The challenge for Xiamoi will be to convince the Indian mindset with the price. As Xiaomi is known from before to provide flagship-level specs at the lowest possible price, 69,999 is indeed a big number! It’s a paradigm shift thought of Xiaomi to be equipped in its new smartphone lineup, which is the big question here, that whether or not they will be successful or not?
But if it is to be compared with other phones of this price range, then it is a go-getter for sure.
