Sony is set to unveil its next Xperia phone

Sony Corporation, a Japanese multinational company, plans to launch the newer version of the Xperia phone on April 14, this year.

As per The Verge, Sony has just revealed that its upcoming Xperia event will take place on April 14th in a low-key manner (via Droid-Life). The information was obtained from the Xperia YouTube channel’s banner, which states that a new product launch will take place at 4:30 pm Japan Standard Time.

The standard provides no real hints as to what will be introduced, but there has been some rumor floating around about another device, the Xperia 1 III, and the launch of the Xperia Compact, which may end up being an Android response to the iPhone 12 Mini.

According to The Verge, there are numerous reports saying that new models of the Xperia 5 and 10 will be launched, with the Compact being left out entirely. In any case, almost every rumor suggests that the leading Xperia 1 series will get a new category.

As per the reports, Xperia 1 III will have a periscope zoom lens, and TechRadar recently released what appears to be the full specifications. It’s essentially what you’d expect from a premium Android phone: Snapdragon888, 12GB of RAM, 5G, and a 4K 120Hz screen.

According to rumors, the latest smartphone will have a 5.5-inch display, which is just slightly larger than the iPhone Mini’s screen. According to The Verge, both future phones are likely to have headphone jacks.
