Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note to feature Iris sensor

Samsung’s much-anticipated phablet, the Note 7 is most likely to hit the markets in the coming days. With the launch time inching closer, the rumors have also started piling up.
Samsung is expected to launch the new phablet dubbed as the Note 7, ditching the Note 6 naming in order to match the naming with its Galaxy S7 series.
The reports which have surfaced around the new device are claiming it to incorporate an Iris sensor for more secure experience. The technology was also seen in Company’s Galaxy Tab Iris, which was launched sometime back.
A recent report reveals the Zauba listing for 200 Iris scanners been shipped by Samsung to India from South Korea, which suggest that the company might be testing the new feature before showcasing the device.
Other rumors suggest that the device will feature an alloy metal design making it shatter resistant. It is also expected to be protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass.
On the specification front, the new Galaxy Note will have a 5.8 Super AMOLED inch 4K display with 4096*2160 pixel resolution. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 823 processor backed by 6GB of RAM.
Optics on this device will include a 12MP rear camera sensor with features such as geo tagging, facial recognition, 3D front and back camera technology, auto laser focus, OIS. On the front panel it will boast a camera for detailed selfies.
The device will also be IP68 certified matching the likes of Galaxy S7. It is expected to come in 64GB and 128GB storage options and will be juiced by a 4200mAh battery.
Samsung is most likely to launch the new installment of the series in September this year at IFA. We will have to wait for the official announcements to confirm the legitimacy of the information.
