Former BMW, Canoo executive  hired for car project by APPLE.


Apple Inc has employed Ulrich Kranz, former senior executive at BMW AG’s electric car division, to assist its vehicle initiatives, confirmed by  Apple on Thursday.

Kranz, the recent chief executive of electric vehicle startup Canoo Inc, will report to Apple veteran Doug Field, who led the development of Tesla Inc’s mass-market Model 3 and is now running the Apple’s car project, the report stated. Reported by Bloomberg.
The iPhone maker’s automotive efforts, known as Project Titan, have progressed unevenly since year 2014 when Apple first started designing its own vehicle from scratch.
Reuters reported In December ,that Apple was moving ahead with its self-driving car technology and focus on production of passenger vehicle that could include its own breakthrough battery technology by 2024.
