Clubhouse Android Application Available for Download in India and Globally

Clubhouse, the invitation-only social audio application that became famous overtime, is now available on Android devices in India and around the world to be installed. The Android version of the application began it’s testing in the US a couple of weeks back, targeting to analyze its growth in the market. Clubhouse was exclusive to Apple’s iOS only in the initial launch stages in March 2020. The audio application gained popularity in the technology world shortly after it was used by people like Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Facebook Co-Founder Mark Zuckerberg , it did give a rise to the application’s growth.

The Clubhouse Android application is available for installing via the Google Play store and is compatible with devices having Android 8.0 or later. Android version is now available but Clubhouse is still based on the waitlist and invitation system just like before. This means that users will need an invite from an existing user to sign up for creating account.

The invitation entry model is designed to keep the growth in measure, Clubhouse founders wrote in a blog post earlier this month that said that the company plans to open up further and bring like million of people in from the iOS waiting list, expanding the language support, and adding more accessibility features to make it even better over time .

Clubhouse application interested large number of people after Elon Musk and other celebrities held audio conversations on the application earlier this year. After reaching the milestone of 9.6 million installs in February, the application’s installs fell 72 percent to 2.7 million in the month of March, according to phone application analytics firm Sensor Tower. The number dropped further to 900,000 in April which was very drastic and non predicted.

The growth ignited in the early 2021 attracted organizations like Twitter, Facebook and Discord to enter the social audio application and bring their Clubhouse rivals. Sudden the fame of Clubhouse also helped its Indian substitute Lehar to gather some sort of momentum.
