Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella: iPad users would “get a real computer”

Recently been in India, the Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella spotted a pair of journalists using Apple iPad Pro tablets. He said to one of them, “You need to get a real computer, my friend.”
Earlier this year, Microsoft executives said that Apple copied the Surface Pro with their device iPad Pro.
Nadella punched out a line when he commented that Microsoft is not a luxury goods manufacturer. Instead, He said that their company is a tool creator, thus, innovating and developing technology which can be further used to build up more convenient devices. Clearly, Nadella was pointing out his rivals in the global market.
Ryan Gavin, General Manager of the Surface line, was particularly specific when he stated that iPad Pro was the result of Apple copying the Microsoft 2-in-1 category.
The similarities drawn between both the devices are as follows-both employ a touch-screen and can work with a stylus (Surface Pen/Apple Pencil) and feature detachable QUERTY keyboards. The major difference is their operating systems. Surface Pro runs on Windows 10 Pro, and OS for personal computers while iPad Pro runs on the company’s iOS mobile operating system.
Another big comment by Nadella came out as, “I don’t want to take away whatever success Apple and Google are achieving. We are very different companies. We are not some middleman in the marketplace. We are a tool creator; we are not a luxury-goods manufacturer. That’s not who we are. We are about creating and innovating technologies so that others can build up better,”
