Jio TV Plus Curation Platform announced: Users can watch Netflix, Sony LIV, Amazon Prime and more from single log-in

At Reliance’s virtual 43rd AGM (Annual General Meeting), Jio TV+ has been announced, offering ease in the discovery of OTT content and enabling users to watch shows, trailers, songs and videos all under one roof.

This new platform has single sign-in support for 12 OTT apps including:
• Netflix
• Amazon Prime Video
• Sony LIV
• Zee5
• Lionsgate Play
• YouTube
• Eros Now
• JioCinema
• Disney+ Hotstar
• Voot
• Shemaroo
• JioSaavn

“Through the Jio App Store on the Set-Top Box, one can access internet applications across multiple genres such as entertainment, education, health, cooking, yoga, gaming, religion, and many more,” Akash Ambani said at Reliance’s AGM event.

Sources said the single sign-in process is likely to reduce the cumbersome requirement to have different logins for different applications, allowing users to play content in a seamless and easy way.

For ease of browsing, the interface would divide content in different genres, and the TV shows, as well as movies, will be arranged in different categories for Jio TV Plus customers. Meanwhile, Reliance Industries announced that tech giant Google will invest $4.5bn into the Jio Platforms.

According to the latest inputs, the internet search giant and Jio will also launch a new Android-based OS in order to build affordable smartphones.
