First 100G link launched by China Telecom and TransTeleCom

The leading Russian telecom companies, China Telecom and TransTeleCom have developed first trans- telecommunication route connecting China and Europe. It is based on 100G ULH (Ultra Long Haul) technology. They have constructed a 100Gbps gateway on the borderline between the two countries at-Manzhouli (China) and Zabaikalsk (Russia).
CEO of China Telecom Global, Deng Xiaofeng said, “TransTeleCom has one of the largest backbone networks in Russia, and is trusted partner of China Telecom in the market between Europe and Asia. The new route provides high quality services to our clients both inside and outside China.”
The companies have been working together since 2008 and still expanding their cooperation. The President of TransTeleCom says that the new route is very popular among international clients and thus, the team up would surely succeed in the coming future.
For now, China is committed to build the new Digital Silk Road connecting Asia and Europe. China telecom has mapped out a vast information network connecting China to Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Central Asia countries, as well as reaches the Atlantic through Switzerland, Germany and the U.K. The latest 100G high-quality network features large bandwidth, multiple routes, low latency and better control too.
This 100G Asia-Europe terrestrial cable, launched by China telecom with the cooperation of TKK, is so far the industry’s longest network. It is estimated that the new route would be ready for services by the end of the year 2017. The collaboration will allow better regional economic development among the countries.
