State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Tuesday partnered with Malaysian Arubaito to offer a smart walkie-talkie solution on mobile devices for business-critical communication services.
Arubaito is also a value-added reseller of Finnish Airbus Defence and Space.
“This product has many features, and with cloud architecture, it can scale and provide a secured environment with BSNL’s in-house cloud hosting, said BSNL Chairman, PK Purwar.
The application, according to him, would be useful in many emergency situations including disaster relief operations.
BSNL and Arubaito have a revenue-sharing agreement, based on a subscription model. However, the two companies are yet to decide on a tariff.
The application developed by Arubaito-Airbus is a 3GPP compliant application and uses AES-256 encryption for data security.
“It meets all the mission-critical communication needs, offers seamless feature-rich services, and is launched on a zero-CAPEX monthly subscription model,” Gururaj Itigi, Chairman, Arubaito India said.
The mobile application can also be collaborated with third-party applications and offers enhanced location and mapping solutions.
