Taiwanese consumer electronics major Asus, has launched the new tablet ZenPad Z8 in the U.S market
“Asus is excited to launch the ZenPad Z8 with Verizon. Asus ZenPad Z8 brings an incredible feature set and top-end specifications to Verizon customers at a very attractive price,” Benson Lin, corporate vice-president and general manager for mobile communications at Asus, said in a statement.
Some of the exciting features of the new tablet includes: 7.9-inch QXGA IPS screen with 2,048×1,536 resolution, Android Marshmallow OS powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit class Snapdragon 650 hexa-core System-on-Chip (SoC), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage and a powerful 4680mAh battery, which can run the tablet for 23 days in a standby mode.
The tablet comes with a 8MP primary camera with proprietary PixelMaster technology, which enhances picture quality taken under low-light conditions, and also a 2MP snapper on the front.
Currently it will be only launched for the Verizon Wireless subscribers in the US for US $249.99 without contract, on June 23.
The company is yet to confirm the availability status for India market.
