According to rumours and speculations, Apple will release refreshed iMac models later this year. These are expected to be more powerful and feature a new design similar to the Pro Display XDR monitor. However, some reports about the upcoming Mac system have been re-confirmed by a reliable source. The new iMac is expected to arrive later this year and will have a larger display than Apple’s current largest iMac model.
The Apple currently contains a 21.5-inch and a 27-inch iMac, so it means it will have a bigger monitor that may be as wide as 30 inches or even larger. It may have the same 32-inch screen size as it is said to have a similar design to the XDR Pro Display.
According to rumour, the new iMac will run on Apple’s own silicon instead of Intel. Apple is said to be testing chips with as many as 16 high-performance cores and four efficiency cores internally. Furthermore, the macOS Big Sur 11.3 beta appears to have announced two new iMac designations: “iMac21,1” and “iMac21,2,” both of which are clearly new and do not correspond to existing iMac versions.
Have previously stated that the iMac could come in five different colours.
