Apple Watch cellular service finally arrives for Vodafone Idea users: Here’s how to activate

Vodafone Idea has recently announced to offer cellular services for the Apple Watch (GPS and Cellular) from today i.e. 12th June 2020.

According to the telecom giant, this service is currently available for Vodafone postpaid customers in select circles. However, in the coming weeks, services will be expanded to additional circles. After Airtel and Jio, Vodafone Idea has become the third player to offer cellular services on Apple Watches (GPS and Cellular).

With this announcement, the newly launched service would allow the company’s users to make calls and stay connected, even without the phone nearby.

If you’re a Vodafone user, take a look at the steps how to set up the service:

• Update your iPhone to the latest iOS
• On your iPhone, open the Watch app
• Do start the pairing process of Apple Watch and iPhone
• To continue, sign in with your Apple ID & password
• Then, tap on ‘Create a Passcode’ in order to generate passcode (4-digit) on your watch
• Tap ‘Setup Mobile Data’ to share your number (postpaid) and plan with the watch
• Fill your number and self-care password (In case, you are not registered, tap on register to login for registration of your number)
• Once login is successful, tap ‘Confirm’
• Wait for synchronization
• On the second confirmation, the service would get activated within a few minutes
• Once the setup is complete, green dots would appear on the control panel, indicating the connection to the cellular network.
