Amazon has recently launched its new Fire TV Stick Remote that will support buttons for OTT Platforms. They also declared that it will be available with the latest Fire TV Stick (3rd generation).
it can be pre-ordered from Amazon India.
Although the design is similar to the previous versions, colored buttons representing the different apps and features were added this time.
Replacing the microphone button is the Alexa Button which comes in blue color, similar to prime video. Below that, we will be seeing added buttons for Netflix, Prime Video, Amazon Music, and other apps. But this is applicable only to the Indian version of the Fire TV Stick.
In overseas markets like the US, the Fire Tv Stick has dedicated buttons for Hulu and Disney+. Disney+ is available as Disney+ Hotstar in India, but Hulu hasn’t been launched yet.
In Australia, the apps button is replaced with Disney+, while Amazon Music remains the same.
This is the latest addition to Amazon Prime’s Fire TV Stick lineup inculcating 3rd generation dynamics. The previous models will ship with the older remote. The new remote can be used with the 2nd Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV Stick Lite.
The Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) will be priced at INR 3999/- and can be pre-ordered via Amazon India. The device will go on sale from April 21 according to Amazon.
Another added feature to the 3rd Gen Fire TV Stick is support for full HD content and Dolby Atmos.
